It's been reported widely that the Saudis along with the FBI couldn't find Paul Johnson's would-be killers in time to prevent his death, but that they killed Abdul Aziz al-Muqrin as he was getting rid of Johnson's body. BBC:
Muqrin was killed along with three other militants in a shootout in Riyadh after dumping Mr Johnson's body, Saudi officials said.
Mr Jubeir said the body of Mr Johnson had still not been recovered.
Huh?
Saudi authorities say the militants were cornered at a petrol station in Riyadh, after witnesses spotted them throwing Mr Johnson's body from their car.
What?
Makes as much sense as any other story coming out of the Saudi Entity I guess.
I'm glad that another Al Qaeda dog is down, though it would have been helpful to take him alive (shades of Uday and Qusay death complaints, I know). But I don't trust the Saudis and I never will. They're still triangulating.
