In an outrageous piece of terrorist propaganda appearing on the cover of today's New Statesman, John Pilger puts the blame for the 7/7 London attacks not on the terrorists, but rather on Tony Blair:

Bad Day at Trek Rock

UPN has dumped Star Trek: Enterprise, the fifth Trek series (if you don't count the cartoon series), which is only in its fourth year. A tradition of running for seven seasons has held among the last three series before Enterprise, but the ratings for Enterprise were always very low. It just couldn't make it.

As a serious Trek geek, I can't say I'm surprised at Paramount's move here. Star Trek is tired and needs both a rest and new blood, if it's to continue at all. Enterprise was disappointing in many ways. For the most part it had the same old stories that we've been seeing for 39 years now and not much new to add.

The current season was actually looking pretty good, at least compared to Enterprise's previous years. But we'll only have the rest of this year to find out where it goes. The last episode airs on 13 May.

Here's the official press release.
