This blog is now read by more machines than humans: RSS robots, spam-laying insectopoids, echoes of blog-gathering .edu projects. This essentially is the state of affairs that all human activities w

John Pilger: Partner in Terrorism
In an outrageous piece of terrorist propaganda appearing on the cover of today's New Statesman, John Pilger puts the blame for the 7/7 London attacks not on the terrorists, but rather on Tony Blair:

Here's some vileness. The high and mighty grand poobah of personal morality and enlightenment Bob Fertik who blogs over at Democrats.com has decided to try to launch a campaign to out gay Republicans. I guess that answers the question I'd been asking myself of whether the Gannon thing is a scandal because he may be gay or because he may have been a hustler. The answer is that it's because he might be gay.
With procedural exactitude, Fertik lays out the parameters of his proposed outing scheme:
To be included, the individual must be:
A Republican or conservative political activist
Engaged in anti-gay advocacy or activism
Gay or bi-sexual
In the closetThe list below includes individuals who have been identified as gay by sources we consider reliable.
Yes, there's a list of names. Assembled by reliable sources. Sources Fertik considers reliable anyway.
He adds helpfully, "If you find an error, please let us know and we will post a correction." Because accuracy is so important when you begin to meddle with people's personal lives.
A commenter, no doubt just trying to help out, visited an anti-gay website to cull some names from their conveniently compiled list and suggested some names to Fertik. Now I've seen everything. So nice of the Christian right to help out the left in this way. Maybe we can all just get along after all.
I feel slimy even going to this website, but these are political appointees by Bush that they list as openly gay.
Hey genius, Fertik required that all outed gays be in the closet. Or can you really out the former president of the San Francisco branch of the Log Cabin Republicans? Ah, well. When you're rallying a mob I guess it's difficult to get everyone to follow the carefully laid out rules. He adds:
That information was found in five minutes with a Google search. Imagine what else one might find with a little more motivation!
Yes, imagine.
These numnuts actually imagine that they're doing some good. It fits right into that observation that's been bouncing back and forth lately of the left only caring about mass nouns- individuals don't matter. Let's help gays by trying to hurt some gay people. It's atrocious.
