John Pilger: Partner in Terrorism

In an outrageous piece of terrorist propaganda appearing on the cover of today's New Statesman, John Pilger puts the blame for the 7/7 London attacks not on the terrorists, but rather on Tony Blair:

The New Pollution

Maybe not so new actually. But anyway this story reached a peak with this post at GayPatriot where he signs off, seemingly permanently. There's a good rundown on what happened by Christian Grantham at Outlet Radio Network.

So the new gay fascisti over at AMERICAblog and BlogActive have decided that they are the arbiters of what positions gays are entitled to hold and further that they will enforce their decisions by outing gays who disagree with them. In GayPatriot's case, BlogActive's Michael Rogers even resorted to threatening GayPatriot's employer with a boycott. Clearly, Rogers isn't interested in democratic principles of debate and consensus. He's interested in silencing Republican gays who disagree with him.

This is abominable and should be condemned by everyone, gay and straight, liberal or conservative.

I do think GayPatriot went a step too far in his condemnation of the two with his "WANTED: GAY TERRORISTS" post. I don't think he meant it, but GP's post could be misinterpreted as a call for violence against them. This might merit a call to the police, but Rogers' threatened boycott against GP's employer suggests that Rogers saw an opportunity to silence a critic more than he saw a threat to his life. And Rogers' response just happens to fit in with his modus operandi. I mean if I seriously thought that a blog post was life-threatening, organizing an economic boycott of the poster's employer wouldn't be my way of addressing it.

In any case, the best way to fight against this fascistic outing campaign is to speak out against what Michael Rogers and AMERICAblog's John Aravosis are doing. It's of a kind with leftist attacks on black conservatives as Uncle Toms and worse. The left has no problem making a big issue of race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation when the target is a conservative. To Democrats and the left, minorities really are second-class citizens who don't have the right to their own opinions- not if they know what's good for'em, anyway. And Rogers' self-appointed job is punishing gays who somehow escape the Democratic plantation.

Heh. I just now returned to the comments at Christian Grantham's post where the gay arbiter himself, Mike Rogers, bitches that Grantham didn't disclose that he handled GP's website registration, when in fact Grantham did disclose in that very post that GayPatriot is "a client". I posted a suitably snarky response. Ah, that felt good.

Update: If it's really Mike Rogers involved, it's quite damning to his position. The author, Christian Grantham posts in the same comments as linked to above:

Outrageous. Michael Rogers just called me claiming the police are having him do background checks and needed to ask me questions. As naive as that sounded, I entertained the questions until it was clear his concerns were better directed to GayPatriot. When I told him to just have the Police contact me directly about all this, he went ballistic. That's when I knew for a fact these weren't concerns the police or any attorney had. These were concerns of Michael Rogers, and he was talking to the wrong person on so many levels....

Rogers then threatened to hold me responsible if I didn't take down GayPatriot's website.

I commented:

Outrageous indeed. So it's not just a potentially threating post that Rogers is interested in taking down (which has already been removed), it's GayPatriot's whole site. This shows who Rogers really is. He should be condemned by the whole gay community and the whole blogosphere. The response to speech we disagree with is more speech. No one is helped by silencing voices.

I wouldn't have thought it likely to have an incident like Rogers' phone call to Christian Grantham as an example, but there it is. There is little difference between the tactics of outing gays whose opinions you might think are anti-gay and the bizzare threats in that phone call. They're of a piece, equally reprehensible.

So there's Mike Rogers. A new and exciting gay thug.

Update: Wizbang's got a fiery post on this.
